A great way to build your child’s vocabulary is to find random and bizarre words that are not often used. The “heebie jeebies” sparked a lot of chat and debate amongst our students!
This week in history we were learning about our family tree. We interviewed an older person we know to see what was life like when they were our age! We were surprised to see some similarities and also some big differences!
We made a gratitude tree and all the children wrote about all of the things they are grateful for in their lives. Such a lovely, feel-good activity 🙂
We were really lucky to get a chance to work with Waterford Sports Partnership this month…they provided us with yard markings for the children to play on. The children have been learning about Hopscotch and how to figure out the puzzles too!
A big focus here in Liosmór Mochuda N.S. is our school community’s well-being. Thanks to our new teacher, Ms O’Farrell, we have a new well-being table! In Mrs Sheehan’s room “Thankful books” were a great addition and a lovely learning experience. Schools play a vital role in the promotion of positive mental health in children.…
