On a dull and cool afternoon we set off for the local Cricket Grounds to complete the activities that made up Sports Day. We had sprints, sack races, skipping races, ‘spud’ and spoon races, 3 legged races and long races. The Senior Room had completed javelin and discus events in school. Some of our parents…
Dancing: We are halfway through our dancing lessons with Larry and Ida. We have learned a dance from Bolivia and a Scottish dance. This has been interesting. We wonder what other dances we are going to learn in the coming two weeks.

Dramas: The Senior Room recently wrote and performed their own dramas. They were excellent and a lot of time and effort went into them. Excellent work everyone.
School Photos: We had our school photos taken on May 3rd. The lady was lovely and most of us looked rather smart on the day. We are excited to see how they turned out.

We discovered that some triangles are asymmetrical. We made butterfly pictures to show how symmetry works. We also made symmetrical objects out of shapes. We now…
Vincent Van Gogh We did a project on Vincent Van Gogh. He was born in Holland. People did not like his paintings as they were so dull. After a while he painted a bright picture of flowers in a pot called the “Sunflowers”. He made lots of new bright pictures. He couldn’t become too famous…
Poetry The Senior Room have been taking part in some poetry workshops. The aim is to learn all about different poems so we can each write a poem. These poems will be entered into a competition and then the winning poems will be put into a book. The overall winner will have their poem read…
